Using in-call control buttons

The settings in "In-call control button" control when the buttons are shown. Tap the record button to start or stop recording. To move the buttons, drag either one to a new position. You do not need to long-press it. The new position is saved automatically.

"For outgoing calls", "For incoming calls", and "Show button to add star" are on by default. The first two settings control the record button for outgoing and incoming calls separately. The star button is shown next to the record button. Tap it to add or remove the star on the current recording.

"Hide button before answer" is off by default. When it is on, the in-call buttons are not shown until the connection is established. This setting applies only to outgoing calls. "Show button while ringing" is also off by default. When it is on, the buttons are shown before an incoming call is answered. This setting applies only to incoming calls.

"Hide button while recording" is off by default. When it is on, the record button is hidden after recording starts. The star button stays visible if "Show button to add star" is on.

A long press runs the action selected in "Long press action". There are two options: "Do nothing", which is selected by default, and "Hang up the call and call back automatically". The second option works only on Android 8.1 and older. On Android 9 and later, it does nothing.

You can also control recording from the notification pane during a call. Use "Start recording" or "Stop recording". If the app uses the system recording interface, start or stop recording in that interface instead.
